He was born in Paris.
He has studied monody, classical guitar and theory in the School of Music Idravlos. Since 1967, he has taken part in many choirs and vocal ensembles such as:
Youth Choir Holly Cathedral of France and Greek Scouts of Paris (1967-1976), Music-dramatic group with orchestra, singing, guitar and choir (Paris 1973 - 1976),
Choir of Terpsichore Papastefanou (1976 - 1984),
Choir of the church of St. Lucas (1976 - 1981),
Choir of Fotis Aleporos (1978 - 1981),
Choir of the Bank of Greece (1981-1983),
Choir of Emboriki Bank (1983 until now),
The vocal ensemble Athenian Polyphony (1986-1992),
Choir Fons Musicalis (1993 until now),
Mixed choir of the Municipality of Athens (1999-2003).
Kostas Florakis has given with them many performances in Greece and abroad.
He has also taken part in many recordings with orchestras, musical ensembles etc.
